Description

The vineyard lies on very hard granite and green-blue schist called Diorite. This is also the oldest vineyard in Beaujolais producing a more structured wine than its neighbour Brouilly. Appellation size: 315 ha

Winemaking

Traditional vinification with controlled temperature.

Tasting note

On the nose this wine has a lovely minerality combined with notes of red fruits. In the mouth, it is supple with aromas of berries and cherries as well as hints of spices. This Côte de Brouilly 2011 has a lovely length with an interesting potential to age.

Suggested food pairings

Wild game, meat dishes with sauces, roasts, charcuterie and cheese.
