Description

The vineyard lies on very hard granite and green-blue schist called Diorite. This is also the oldest vineyard in Beaujolais producing a more structured wine than its neighbour Brouilly. Appellation size: 315 ha

Winemaking

Traditional vinification with controlled temperature.

Tasting note

The Côte de Brouilly 2009 has a mouth-watering bouquet of red fruits. This is a feminine wine where the elegance of the tannins softly unites with the acidity. Red fruits dominate also on tasting.

Suggested food pairings

Wild game, meat dishes with sauces, roasts, charcuterie and cheese.
