Description

The vineyard lies on very hard granite and green-blue schist called Diorite. This is also the oldest vineyard in Beaujolais producing a more structured wine than its neighbor Brouilly. Appellation size: 315 ha

Winemaking

Traditional vinification with controlled temperature.

Tasting note

A nose dominated by red fruits and aromas of cafe characterizes Côte de Brouilly 2008. On the palate, the flavors are in keeping with the nose. Well-balanced, this wine is round and well-structured, with supple and silky tannins.

Wild game, meat dishes with sauce, roasts, charcuterie and cheeses.
