Description

This Chénas, grown on steep and granite-rich soils, is reminiscent of a Moulin-à-Vent with its deep colour and aromatic bouquet of violets and roses. This is one of the smallest appellations in the Beaujolais. Total vineyard area: 249ha

Winemaking

Traditional vinification with controlled temperature.

Tasting note

Intense nose that unfolds raspberries, blackberries, cassis and strawberry jam. Chénas 2008 is concentrated, powerful and beautifully rich with silky tannins.

Suggested food pairings

Wild game, meat dishes with sauce, roasts, charcuterie and cheeses.
