Description

Maison Henry Fessy craft its collection of Vin de Pays "Les Charmelles" where each wine expresses a strong personality. Elegant and balanced, these wines reflect perfectly the typicity, character and beauty of their southern lands of origin. This wine is made from 100% Chardonnay. There is a variety of different soil types, principally chalky and with volcanic rock, with some areas richer in alluvium from the Quaternary period.

Winemaking

After the harvest, the grapes are refrigerated at 10°C. Skin maceration is carried out for a few hours, followed by a gentle pneumatic press. The temperature of the alcoholic fermentation is controlled and the selected yeasts increase the fruit flavours which then further enriches the aromas of the wine.

Tasting note

This Chardonnay offers a very aromatic nose with notes of exotic fruits such as mango and pineapple. It is a powerful wine which also retains a wonderful freshness.

Suggested food pairings

This wine is ideal to drink with cold meats, poultry, fish, quiches and soufflés.
