Description

The most southerly of all the Crus, Brouilly has good colour, backbone and is full-bodied revealing aromas of plums and peaches. "Les Brulées" is a beautiful single vineyard of 0.7 hectares located on the "plateau de Bel-Air". The vines of this plot have been planted in 1949 and 1950. The sub-soil of this plot is crossed by some aluminium veins, which causes frequent lightning fall on the plot, hence the name "The Brulées" which means "The Burned".

Winemaking

Traditional vinification with controlled temperature.

Tasting note

Our Brouilly « Les Brûlées » shows a superb ruby colour with a beautiful intensity. Aromas of red fruits dominate, lightly spicy. The texture of the wine is ample and rich and reveals soft tannins. There is a nice length with delicate notes of cacao. A complex and racy wine.

Suggested food pairings

Bold cheeses, T-bone steak or ribeyes, barbequed red meats, charcuterie and refined hors d'oeuvres.
