The most southerly of all the Crus, Brouilly has good colour, backbone and is full-bodied revealing aromas of plums and peaches. "Les Brulées" is a beautiful single vineyard of 0.7 hectares located on the "plateau de Bel-Air". The vines of this plot have been planted in 1949 and 1950. The sub-soil of this plot is crossed by some aluminium veins, which causes frequent lightning fall on the plot, hence the name "The Brulées" which means "The Burned".

Traditional vinification with controlled temperature.

Tasting note

Our Brouilly "Les Brulées" 2012 reveals a stunning ruby robe of a beautiful density. The nose is very elegant, open, with floral notes that complement the basket of red fruits very present at first, followed by a hint of pepper in final. Ample with a beautiful texture, it is very round in the mouth, it's a rich wine, the tannins are present but melted. Chocolate and menthol notes resurface in the end.

Suggested food pairings

Bold cheeses, T-bone steak or ribeyes, barbequed red meats, charcuterie and refined hors d'oeuvres.
