Henry Fessy produces its own Beaujolais rosé. The Beaujolais appellation supplies nearly all of the grapes for the wine. Fruity and light, our Beaujolais rosé is produced mainly from parcels selected just next to Maison Fessy, amongst the vines of the domain situated on the plateau of Bel-Air and near the appellation of Brouilly. Total surface area of the AOC: 6650 hectares

50% of rosé is pressed directly, and 50% is bled off the juice after limited contact with the skin and these are then mixed together. Next, cold settling of the must occurs, which discards of any solids, followed by controlling the temperature of the alcoholic fermentation between 16°C and 18°C. Racking is carried out at the end of fermentation and malolactic fermentation is stopped in order to preserve maximum freshness and fruit.

Tasting note

With a lively pale rose colour, our Beaujolais Rosé offers aromas of red fruits, raspberry and strawberry in particular. In the mouth, it is tasty, crispy and balanced. Our Beaujolais Rosé is racy and refreshing.
