Henry Fessy has been making top quality Beaujolais wines since 1888. The vines are cultivated traditionally with passion and intelligence, constently adapting to get the best from each new vintage. This philosophy is an integral part of how to make highly characterful wines. This beautiful cuvée is made of vines of more than 50 years old that produce small bunches of grapes, that offer a very high aromatic concentration. Beaujolais Nouveau is a festive event which celebrate the new vintage each year for the last 50 years.

The exceptionally warm weather and historic levels of sunshine seen in the Beaujolais since the beginning of May have yielded what is certainly an amazing vintage. The maturity of the grapes arriving in the winery has made it a winemaker's dream year. From the outset of the fermentation, we have confirmed our expectations. The juice was dark with bright red fruit aromas and has great finesse, with balanced and silky tannins which give them a solid core. Patience until the 19th of November 2015 to meet this great "Nouveau" vintage !

Tasting note

Our Beaujolais-Villages Nouveau "Vieilles Vignes" 2015 shows a beautiful ruby color with flecks of violet. A powerful nose of black and red fruits, such as blackberry and raspberry. In the mouth, it is round with silky tannins. A fruity bouquet where blackcurrant and strawberry dominate. The finish offers a beautiful hint of spice. Outstanding.
